Sulfatic saline minerals are temperature dependent and are sensitive to climatic and topographic conditions. They form in discharge sites from flow of water in the entire landscape. The concentration is via matric flow to the surface and near surface. The usual sequence is calcite, gypsum, konyaite at the surface. Depending on the abundance of Ma and Na the secondary mineral with konyite is epsomite with high amounts of Mg and mirabilite with high amounts of Na.
