A Survey on Agriculture Student's Views and Expectations of Coop Courses and Internship Experiences.

Paul B. Woosley and John Kessell. Agriculture, Western Kentucky University, 1906 College Heights Blvd. #41066, Bowling Green, KY 422101-1066

Agriculture freshman and Agriculture juniors and seniors were asked to complete a survey relating to their willingness to complete a coop course.  In addition, 41 turfgrass and horticulture students completed a separate survey.  There were statistical differences between horticulture and turfgrass students willingness to travel to complete a coop.  Turfgrass students were willing to travel further.  Students consistently ranked the ability to acquire many different skills high on their list of priorities when looking at different coop possibilities.  Other outcomes from the survey will be discussed.
