Vapor Pressure Deficit Effects on Leaf Gas Exchange and Stomatal Conductance for Some Diverse C4 Species.

Modeling of crops and grasses in diverse sets of sites requires accurate functions for the response of productivity to vapor pressure deficit (VPD). In source-limited conditions, even with adequate soil moisture, plants' assimilation rate and stomatal conductance respond to the VPD. In this study, we collected data on some C4 species of crops and grasses and compared the VPD responses to published response lines for sorghum.
