Selection of Sprout-Soybean Varieties and Method of Cultivation in Paddy Field in Korea.

Varietal selection : These experiments were carried out to select adaptable sprout-soybean varieties in the paddy field in Korea. Most sprout-soybean varieties of paddy field cultivation were later maturity than upland cultivation for from 3 to 13 days, and were increased 1`3g/100 grains bigger. Pungsannamulkong, Sowonkong and Somyongkong of the tested all sprout-soybean varieties were selected, because three varieties had especially small grain, and high yielding. And Somyongkong was more excellent than any other varieties, It was good and small size to take the government's purchasing, however the varieties of low yielding and adaptable government's purchasing were Hannamkong, Dawonkong, Anpungkong, Seonamkong, Dacheakong. And Hannamkong, Dawonkon and Dachaekong were comparatively early maturity varieties to fit next cropping system.

Selection condition : This experiment was carried out to get new technique that was obtained from previous data on soybean farmers' paddy field experiments. Organic matter content of the field was 23.6 g / 1 kg of soil with pH 6.6. The amount of fertilizer applied following Korean average soil in cultivated field was N-P2O5K20=30-30-34 kg/ha. However, at farmers field fertilizer was applied at 28-76-48 kg/ha. The rates of Doremikong(sprout-soybean variety) emergence in the one and two rows ridges were over 90% but flat cultivation was only 65% due to excessive moisture after planting. The growths of one and two ridges were higher than flat cultivation. The yield of one and two ridges were 2540 and 2400 kg/ha, respectively and only 1200kg/ha in flat cultivation. Therefore, farmers must cultivate soybean at one and two rows ridges in paddy field. These experiments were only conducted with flat cultivation, because of getting useful severe data.
