In the Money: Colorado State Agronomy Club Fundraising Activities.

Courtney Thomas, Colorado State University, Soil & Crop Science, 1111 Plant Science Bldg., Center St, Fort Collins, CO 80523

The Colorado State University Agronomy Club engages itself in a variety of fundraising activities throughout the school year. For FFA chapters within the state, the club collects, presses, and mounts plant samples for identification purposes. These orders also include seed samples that the students use to study for contests. Other fundraising projects include merchandise sales and sunflower seed packaging and marketing. The club members then use these funds to cover travel expenses to National and Regional SASES meetings and on fun and educational activities for club meetings.
