An initial Nitrogen Fertilization Optimization Algorithm (NFOA) specifically for bermudagrass pastures was recently developed addressing year-to-year temporal variability. Initial results show a pretty good correlation between N uptake and NDVI as well as INSEY with forage yield. There was decent correlation between these parameters indicating that N requirements can be estimated in-season with help of Greenseeker. INSEY index is still being tested with various other weather parameters and will be reported soon.
