Partial Budget Analysis of Input Trait Systems for Corn Production.

Paula Davis, Steve Elmore, Michael DeFelice, and Murdick McLeod. Pioneer Hi-Bred International, 7100 NW 62nd Avenue, Johnston, IA 50131

Results of a partial budget analysis of input traits for corn production are useful for assessing the economic value of various pest control systems. Input traits include various insect and weed management technologies and the various stacked combinations of these traits, in addition to management costs such as fuel, labor, and application costs under various management scenarios. Pest losses are driven off of equations or constants derived from University and Pioneer derived efficacy and yield data.
