One bermudagrass variety trail initiated in May 1996 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and was evaluated for forage production and quality. It includes 11 sprigged varieties and experimental strains. None of the entries have winter-killed during entire duration of the test, but some have suffered slight freeze injury. Midland 99 and Ozark have demonstrated the highest forage yield potential.
