Biosolids are becoming a more sought after tool for reclaiming contaminated mining sites. This study was conducted to determine whether the addition of biosolids and lime are serving to help reclaim soil trace metals. Biosolids and lime were amended to a 1 ha site in 1998. Soil sampling occurred on a 10 m x 10 m grid to a depth of 30 cm across the site. Sequential metal fractionation for all metal contaminants (cadmium, copper, iron, lead, manganese, and zinc) was determined. Results will be discussed.
