Recently, natural plants have received much attention as sources of biologically active substances including antioxidants, antimutagens, and anticarcinogens. We investigated the SOD-liked antioxidant capacity of solvent extracts from barley leaves in various barley varieties. The primitive elongation of leaves was difference in varieties. Keunalbori 1, Keunalbori, Geungangbori, Oweolbori showed high elongation. The SOD-liked antioxidant capacity with plant length was higher in around 20cm then 10cm length. and it was in the range of 88.4`95.4% in various barley varieties. there wasn't much difference. However, SOD yield per unit area(g/m2) was higher in Geungangbori, Keunalbori, Keunalbori 1
