Switchgrass as a Bioenergy Crop for the Southeast, USA.

Swithcgrass is a perenial grass that could serve as an excellent biomass source for conversion to enenrgy. Studies are underway to determine nitrogen, seeding rate weed control and culitvar selection for management of production in the Southeast, USA. A complementary program is underway dealing with extension activities and production.
