Pitching Soil.

Many field operations used in agriculture move soil.  As a consequence, our soil-landscapes are changing, creating significant economic and environmental challenges for farmers.  The study of soil movement by tillage provides a better understanding of these challenges and the management options available to farmers.  The current knowledge and future research needs in this rapidly progressing area of study are presented.  The focus of the presentation will be on the models of soil movement and its variability (i.e. tillage erosion) and their use in research and in policy and planning.
