There is an increasing number of research, outreach and educational programs that address the challenges of organic agriculture, and more broadly, sustainable agriculture systems. This talk will describe the USDA Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service (CSREES)’s role in national program leadership and competitive funding for research and extension. The goal is to encourage discussion on resource needs among stakeholders and to solicit feedback on how USDA may more effectively use the resources it invests in organic programs.
