Understanding the Peer Review Process.

Kimberly Whittet, Program Specialist, from the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) will present information related to the peer review process at CSREES. Introductory information will be provided related to the application process, including: Request for Applications (RFA) posting and location, application preparation reminders, and electronic submission. Information about the review process will include: understanding the evaluation criteria, role of the National Program Leader (NPL) and the Panel Manager, selection of peer review panel members, role of the panelists, confidentiality and conflict of interest, and a general overview of the peer panel process.
